Remembrance Jewelry
Remembrance Jewelry is a way of holding close cherished loved ones who have passed on.
I craft with the utmost care and positive intention, incorporating a small amount of ash, dried flowers, or other meaningful elements, transforming them into a luminous keepsake.
The Process
First, you will send me a small portion of what youd like included in the piece. Once received, I carefully incorporate these elements into the glass; this assemblage will then be kiln fused into your Rememberance Jewelry; allowing the remains to become part of the piece itself.
Once kiln fused, the piece will anneal for several hours- a process of allowing your piece to cool gradually inside the kiln. After the Remberance Jewelry is annealed, I will then use a soft solder technique to frame the piece in silver, ensuring your jewelry is heirloom quality.
Due to the nature of the glass fusion process, no two pieces of Rememberance Jewelry will ever be the same, echoing the individuality of your loved one.
Collaborative Nature
I understand that this can be an emotional process. You're welcome to share as much or as little as you'd like about the person or memory that your jewelry will honor. Some clients come with clear ideas, others just a feeling they would like captured.
Both are crafted with equal care.
I'll guide you through design options, such as color choices, so that the final piece feels aligned with your vision.
Handling with Care
Any materials you send are treated with the utmost respect, and only a very small amount is needed.
Pricing
for the Remembrane Pendant crafting service, I ask $50.00. Each piece is created individually with great care and attention to detail, and I'm always happy to talk through options.
A Note
Rememberance Jewelry is about cherishing a connection that endures. These pieces are created to be worn and lived with; becoming part of your everyday, where memory meets something you can hold; I approach this craft with reverance and respect.
